成人の日の思い出を教えて下さい。

Please tell me about your memories of Coming-of-Age Day?

成人式の思い出は楽しかったです。
朝早くから美容院に行って髪を整えてもらい、着物を着ました。
今写真を見返すと、ちょっと太って見えて、ちょっと恥ずかしいです。

式典では、中学校以来会っていなかった同級生に会うことができました。
子供が生まれていたり、眉毛が薄くなったり、「うわあ」と思うほど変わっている子もいました。

小学校の同級生14人中13人に会えたのも嬉しかったです。
あれから25年、改めて考えさせられました。

I have really fun memories of Coming-of-Age Day.
I went to a hair salon early in the morning to get my hair styled and put on my kimono.
When I look back at the photos now, I look a bit chubby,
which is kind of embarrassing.

At the ceremony, I got to see classmates I hadn’t seen since junior high school.
Some already had kids, some had thinner eyebrows, and some had changed so much that I thought, “Wow.”

I also met 13 out of 14 of my elementary school classmates, which was amazing.
It’s been 25 years since then, and that really made me stop and think.
